Your Specific Responsibilities

Assist in initiatives and activities related to special populations.

Provide direction, guidance, and technical assistance to Florida Local Workforce Development Boards and other partners regarding the successful implementation of special projects funded by the Department; develop training materials and lead training as needed.

Coordinate required activities for assigned projects, including researching and analyzing data to complete quarterly and other reporting requirements.

Conduct research on federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, and other governing authorities to develop, review, and update programmatic policies, procedures, and guidelines related to assigned projects; evaluate the impact of statutes, regulations, and governing authorities on operations, identify potential challenges, and recommend appropriate action.

Provide assistance to management and staff in developing, managing, and operating assigned workforce programs; consult with management and others on developing and implementing training and technical assistance to improve related workforce program outcomes.

Write, develop, and manage grant awards, contracts, memoranda of understanding, and interagency agreements for assigned projects.

Serve on workgroups related to assigned projects.

Assist with special projects and initiatives within the unit, as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to work independently.

Knowledge of methods for data collection and analysis.

Basic management principles and practices.

Problem‑solving techniques.

Organization of data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.

Interpretation of complex state and federal laws, regulations, guidelines, and requirements.

Effective verbal and written communication.

Strong interpersonal relationships.

Oral presentation to workforce partners.

Proficiency with Microsoft products: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications Level 2 security background screening is required (fingerprinting and check of local, state, and national law enforcement records).

Minimum Requirements

Position duties must be performed at the official work site of the Department.

Limited travel may be required; applicants must provide own transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or two years of equivalent relevant work experience.

Experience researching federal or state law, regulations, or other governing authorities to update policies, procedures, or guidelines.

Experience analyzing data to complete reports of program activities.

Experience developing and implementing workforce development programs.

Experience developing and/or implementing grants.

Pay $47,060.11 – $52,466.20 annually
