Traveling Low Voltage Technician (Based In Florida)

Job Summary
MCS is looking for experienced Low Voltage Technicians to lead small‑site integration packages (Access Controls, Security, Fire, CCTV, Communications, etc) for Task Order installations. The position requires travel to sites for installation, testing, and client training.
A Secret Clearance will be required for this role.
Locations: Tampa, FL (HQ) or Panama City, FL. Travel and lodging are covered while on Task Order Assignment.
Typical Duties
Install card readers, door contacts, motion sensors, intercoms, motion detectors, glass break detectors, speakers, nurse call lights, push buttons, and patient stations.
Install and terminate all low‑voltage cabling.
Terminate, test, and label end‑user devices; build‑out of communication rooms.
Use industry standards and company‑approved methods and techniques.
Ensure compliance with AHJ codes and industry standards.
Adhere to plans, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
Maintain open communication with supervisor to ensure quality, performance, and schedules.
Follow and maintain proper safety practices.
Requirements
High‑school diploma or equivalent.
BICSI certification desired.
2+ years in a technical role; 2+ years in commercial building construction related to structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, A/V, paging, nurse call, and sound masking.
Reliable transportation; own hand tools.
Willing to travel up to 50%.
Ability to stand, kneel, crouch for long periods; climb ladders and scaffolding; lift more than 50 lbs; work in high and confined spaces.
Work hours vary and may require weekend or night shifts.
Other Essential Functions
Employment contingent on obtaining and maintaining required certifications; failure leads to disqualification or termination.

May require US government security clearance.
