Are you passionate about creating visually compelling stories? In this role, you’ll bring news programming to life through dynamic video production, eye‑catching graphics, and live broadcast support. Your work will help shape how audiences experience our stories every day.
As Our Broadcast Graphics & Videographer, You’ll
Produce and edit video content from start to finish in a fast‑paced environment.
Operate HD cameras, lighting, and audio equipment both in the studio and out in the field.
Edit short and long‑form news stories daily using industry‑standard software, ensuring top‑notch audio, lighting, and messaging.
Support live broadcasts by operating studio cameras and managing graphics during newscasts.
Maintain quality standards for video, audio, and graphics so every broadcast looks and sounds its best.
Responsibilities
Operating live studio graphics for news, operating audio mixer for live newscasts, and responsible for the set up and tear down of video and audio equipment.
Capture news stories as assigned by News Director operating HD video cameras and field equipment.
Utilize graphic software to design/implement new graphics as needed.
Preparing video segments/graphics for newcasts.
Set up and operate camera(s) and audio for “Live Shots” in the field.
Operate studio cameras, direct, and assist in daily newscasts.
Other productions as assigned.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
2+ years' experience with computer applications.
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and insurance.
Other Qualifications
Proficient in operating HD video cameras, including set-up and tear-down.
Skilled in field audio, wireless microphones and audio mixers.
Knowledge of three‑point lighting techniques for video interviews.
Ability to run live studio graphics and audio mixer during newscasts.
Capable of serving as backup Technical Director when needed.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
Flexible with work schedules to support news gathering and local content production.
Familiarity with broadcast software such as Adobe Premier and After Effects.
Experience with Ross Inception, iNews, Sony FS5 cameras, and Graphic Design is a plus.
