POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer supports the Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino (STRC) Marketing Department by creating compelling visual assets that bring the STRC brand to life across digital, print, environmental, and multimedia platforms.

This position collaborates closely with the Brand & Promotions Manager, Digital Marketing & Content Manager, and Creative Services Specialist to produce innovative, high‑impact designs that engage guests, support property‑wide campaigns, and maintain brand integrity.

The Graphic Designer is expected to blend creative artistry with technical proficiency, delivering visually consistent and strategically aligned materials that reinforce STRC's reputation for excellence and authenticity.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Design & Production

Design and produce high‑quality graphics for digital and print channels, including social media, web, email, digital signage, posters, property displays, menus, promotional collateral, and event materials.

Translate marketing briefs into visually compelling concepts that align with the STRC brand and campaign objectives.

Maintain and enforce brand standards across all materials, ensuring visual consistency, clarity, and tone.

Prepare and package final production files for print and digital vendors, verifying all technical specifications (bleeds, color profiles, resolution, accessibility standards, etc.).

Coordinate with printers, sign vendors, and other partners to ensure timely, accurate delivery of materials.

Digital & Multimedia Collaboration

Support the Digital Marketing & Content team by producing dynamic social and web graphics optimized for Meta, YouTube, and programmatic platforms.

Assist in developing short‑form animations, GIFs, motion graphics, or video overlays using tools such as Adobe After Effects or Canva Pro Video.

Create design templates and assets for use in CRM emails and automated guest communications.

Stay current with design trends, digital storytelling, and emerging creative technologies (AI‑assisted design, AR filters, motion typography).

Brand & Campaign Integration

Collaborate with the Brand & Promotions Manager to visually execute campaigns, promotions, and events.

Ensure all design elements strengthen STRC's visual identity and reflect its cultural and entertainment positioning.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative reviews, contributing fresh ideas and visual solutions.

Provide mock‑ups and concept decks for leadership and stakeholder review.

Administrative & File Management

Maintain organized digital asset libraries, version control, and project archives using approved STRC file‑naming and storage systems.

Track design requests, timelines, and approvals through project‑management tools or shared calendars.

Support documentation of creative standards and contribute to brand‑style‑guide updates.

Perform other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong creative portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand design, typography, layout, and digital asset creation.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro); familiarity with Canva Pro, Figma, or similar collaborative tools.

Working knowledge of responsive and accessible design principles for digital content.

Understanding of file preparation for both print (CMYK, press‑ready PDFs) and digital (RGB, web optimization).

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Strong attention to detail, color accuracy, and brand alignment.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Read, write, and speak English fluently.

Creative curiosity – staying informed on design trends, social media aesthetics, and hospitality branding best practices.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

College degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field;

Three (3) or more years of professional design experience, ideally in casino, hospitality, or entertainment marketing.

Experience producing creative assets for both print and digital environments.

Demonstrated proficient photography and/or videography skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional marketing and promotions teams.

Willing and available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as business demands.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, the severity of which depends on guest volume.

Stand and walk for long periods without rest.

Climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp, reach, and grip items, sort, tear, and manual dexterity.

Lift, push, pull or move up to 25 lbs, with or without assistance.

Adapt well to the casino environment involving large numbers of people with loud and continuously high noise levels and flashing lights.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable Gaming License through the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.

Attend required training sessions offered by Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino.

Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.

Have knowledge of the State's programs to address problem gambling.

Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission and Minimum Internal Control Standards.

Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.

Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
