Role summary
We’re seeking an Architectural Drafter to work with our design team to produce architectural drawings and contract documents. Qualifications
3+ years hands-on experience using
Autodesk Revit
(production level). Minimum 2 years experience working at an
architecture firm . Associate of Science degree (AS) in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or equivalent technical diploma is preferred as a minimum educational requirement. Must be able to read construction documents, details, and assist the Project Manager with coordinating drawings with consultants. Software & Tools
Revit AutoCAD Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 Bluebeam Revu (experience helpful but not required) Primary responsibilities
Produce and maintain architectural drawings and construction documentation (plans, elevations, sections, details) in Revit. Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and specialty consultants. Detail coordination with manufacturers and vendors (cabinetry, equipment, curtain wall, lighting, doors/door hardware etc.). Assist Project Managers with drawing sets during design development and construction document phases, also with addendums and drawing revisions issued during bid phase and construction. Participate in BIM coordination and model management workflows. Troubleshoot technical modeling/drafting problems and propose practical, code-compliant solutions. Manage drawings and file organization; adhere to office BIM/standards. Preferred skills & attributes
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent technical aptitude, learns new software and workflows quickly. Up-to-date knowledge of construction methods and detailing. Able to work independently to solve complex drafting/modeling issues and provide meaningful solutions. Clear communication and teamwork skills; comfortable coordinating with engineers, consultants and vendors. General knowledge of important local codes and jurisdiction requirements that could influence final design details. What we offer
