As an OR RN in our Main OR, you’ll be an integral part of a high-performing team that handles a wide variety of surgical cases, with a strong emphasis on orthopedics. What you will do
Oversee the daily patient flow within the OR suite to optimize patient care, safety and satisfaction
Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care and promote optimal wellness
Demonstrate ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statutes
Function independently, prioritizing skills and critical thinking with minimal supervision
Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures as needed; consistently adhere to patient safety guidelines
Review patient paperwork for accuracy and verify procedures to be performed
Assist in positioning and transport of the patient
Assume new assignments as directed with competence and necessary skillset aligned with AORN standards
Complete patient charting to include pathology, implant logs, tissue tracking, etc.
Deliver excellent service by utilizing Relationship‑Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients and families
Role‑model the principles of a Just Culture
Perform other duties as assigned; must be HIPAA compliant
What you will need
Experience : Oneyear operating room experience required
License(s) : Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or a valid compact state required
Certification(s) : BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Computer / Typing : Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment
Education : Minimum of an Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018
Pay : Hourly pay based on relevant education and experience; $43.30 – $69.28 USD
Pay and Benefits The hourly rate reflects the level of education and operating room experience required for this position. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, this role offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus, relocation support, housing assistance and the opportunity to work in one of Colorado’s most beautiful communities.
