What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Lead the implementation of a patient‑centric model, engaging with physicians, staff, clinics, and hospitals
Develop and maintain strategic long‑term relationships with Centers of Excellence (COEs), academic institutions, and health systems
Provide education and support to healthcare providers on resources available for rare disease patients
Execute strategic business and account plans based on brand understanding and local market conditions
Navigate complex hospital settings to access targeted healthcare providers and maintain relationships within the payer landscape
What is Required (Qualifications):
BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in biotech/pharmaceutical sales, including 5+ years calling on prescribers of specialized products
Proven sales performance with documented accomplishments in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech markets
Experience in rare diseases preferred
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work independently and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree preferred AND 6+ years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience
Prior experience calling on Key Accounts and COEs
Endocrine experience strongly preferred
Experience with specialty pharmacy distribution models
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret sales data to identify business opportunities
