Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site role for an Adjunct Pastry Chef based in Charlotte, AR. The Adjunct Pastry Chef will be responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction to students in the art and science of pastry and baking. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans, demonstrating advanced pastry techniques, supervising experiential learning in kitchen labs, and evaluating students’ progress. The position also entails upholding safety and sanitation standards, maintaining lab equipment, and successfully integrating industry trends into coursework to prepare students for real‑world culinary careers.

Qualifications

Proficiency in pastry and baking techniques, including artisan breads, plated desserts, confections, and advanced pastry arts.

Experience in instructional delivery, curriculum development, and assessing student performance within culinary or pastry education.

Strong organization and time management skills to effectively manage kitchen labs and adhere to schedules.

Knowledge of industry‑standard equipment, safety protocols, and food sanitation practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to provide mentorship and constructive feedback to students.

At least 5 years of professional pastry experience; prior teaching experience is a plus.

Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Executive Pastry Chef) are highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
