Part‑Time Custodian (Nuuanu - Oahu)
Join Hawaiian Building Maintenance as a highly motivated Part‑Time Custodian. You will clean and maintain commercial building common areas and restrooms in a fast‑moving environment.
Pay Range Base pay $17.00/hr – $19.00/hr, depending on skills and experience.
Location Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu, HI 96817.
Responsibilities
Maintain and clean common areas and restrooms.
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, wipe down surfaces and sanitize supplies.
Clean urinals, toilets, sinks, counters, mirrors, glass doors, and windows.
Remove trash and dispose to designated areas.
Work independently following written and verbal instructions.
Cleaning Checklist
Entry area: sweep, mop, clean glass doors and windows.
Restrooms: wipe down toilets, urinals, counters, sinks, and partitions.
Office floors: mop floors, vacuum carpets and stairs, wipe down surfaces.
Skills & Qualifications
Must pass background check.
High school diploma / GED preferred.
Prior janitorial or custodian experience preferred; training available.
Experience handling cleaning chemicals.
Strong verbal and written communication in English.
Good public relations and customer service skills.
Manual labor capability: lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, walk up stairs and ladders, stand throughout shift (3‑4 hours).
Schedule Three days per week, 12 hours per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 3:30pm – 7:30pm.
