Subcontracts Supervisor
to lead and oversee subcontract management activities in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring subcontractors deliver products and services on time, within budget, and in full compliance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) and federal acquisition regulations. The Subcontracts Supervisor will provide direction to subcontract administrators, ensure adherence to company and government policies, and manage complex subcontract portfolios that enable the FAA's mission‑critical modernization efforts. Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of subcontract administrators and analysts, ensuring consistent execution of subcontracting processes. Lead the development, negotiation, and administration of complex subcontract agreements. Ensure all subcontract activities comply with FAA AMS, FAR, and organizational procurement policies. Review and approve subcontract modifications, funding actions, and performance documentation. Oversee subcontractor performance management, including risk identification and corrective action tracking. Support proposal activities by contributing to subcontracting strategies, cost estimates, and vendor evaluations. Ensure timely flow of deliverables, reports, and contract documentation between subcontractors and program management. Coordinate with Contracts, Procurement, Finance, and Program leadership to align subcontract performance with project goals. Prepare and present performance summaries, cost tracking reports, and compliance briefings to leadership. Drive process improvements in subcontract management, risk mitigation, and documentation control. Prepare and present executive‑level summaries and performance reports. Why This Role Matters

Basic Qualifications
U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Six years of experience in subcontract management, procurement, or government contracting. Supervisory and team leadership experience. Proven knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and FAA AMS policies. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing cost‑type, fixed‑price, and time & materials subcontracts. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Experience developing and maintaining audit‑ready subcontract documentation. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors supporting complex aviation, engineering, or IT programs. Experience leading subcontractor performance reviews, audits, and compliance assessments. Familiarity with cost analysis, pricing justifications, and supplier performance metrics. Proven success coordinating with program management, contracts, and legal teams to resolve issues. Strong understanding of subcontract lifecycle management and risk mitigation strategies. Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems. Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other federal government programs. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Government Contracting. Professional certifications such as CPCM, CPSM, or PMP. Experience supporting FAA modernization or other federal aviation programs. Background in federal subcontract compliance auditing and performance management. Familiarity with ERP or contract management tools (SAP, Oracle, Deltek Costpoint, or equivalent). Experience mentoring or developing high‑performing subcontract teams in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation
Target salary range: $80,000 – $128,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. EEO Statement
