About The Opportunity The Senior Reporting Analyst plays a key role in preparing and providing workforce data, analytics and insights to support the management of the University's workforce, HR programs and business operations. This includes applying systems expertise and organizational knowledge to working collaboratively with HR functional areas and college/division HR key contacts to gather complete requirements. The Senior Reporting Analyst works with complex data sets, developing reports and KPI’s, analyzing data, working with partners to solve problems.

Other Responsibilities Include

Lead and provide data analysis for HR projects and ERP implementation

Lead the preparation and delivery of complex HR reports

Work with project implementation teams to manage and provide data analysis for system integrations

Partner with IT to develop ETL/data schema to support report development

Provide ad-hoc queries using SQL Developer and reporting expertise and troubleshooting to HR and other users

Provide direction and support to HR Data Analysts

Develop Business Intelligence strategy

Minimum Qualifications Ability to convert vast data sets into clear and concise information and insights to directly inform workforce decisions. Ability to convey analytics and findings in way that informs and drives the organization to action. Ability to make good decisions in the absence of complete information as well as adapt and revise plans due to changes in priorities and clients’ objectives. Attributes required include intellectual curiosity, strong desire to learn and ability to effectively consult with senior leaders, IT professional and other business partners. Other skills required include organizational, written/verbal communications, interpersonal, time management, analytical and attention to detail. Knowledge and skills required for this role are normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, General Business, Psychology, Management, Philosophy, Marketing and at least 5 to 7 years of related experience (systems and/or HR systems), preferably Workday.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Reporting and Analytics

Lead and provide data analysis for HR projects and ERP implementation (Workday HCM)

Lead the preparation and delivery of complex HR reports

Work with project implementation teams to manage and provide data analysis for system integrations

Partner with IT to develop ETL/data schema to support report development

Provide ad-hoc queries using SQL Developer and reporting expertise and troubleshooting to HR and other users

Provide direction and support to HR Data Analysts

Develop Business Intelligence strategy and implement using Cognos, Tableau and Workday/PRISM as the University report writer tools

Provide solutions to report from multiple data sources

Develop and maintain data archive strategy and solution

Provide consulting to HR staff to define and implement reports or queries

Review existing reports to leverage report library and communicate report output to all users

Establish metrics, build dashboards, track trends, and provide insights to senior Management

Data Integrity & Security

Lead efforts to manage data audits and reconciles HR data integration issues to enhance overall data integrity levels.

Manage and ensure HR data and analytics are secure

Creates and acts upon audit queries to ensure the integrity of data in all HR Systems.

Training/Communications

Develop report documentation and deliver training to support user needs

Develop/Update training materials and train users on Workday and Cognos reporting

Develop and maintain standard report and documentation library

Develop and publish release notes to reporting and analytics users

Compensation Grade/Pay Type 110S

Expected Hiring Range $75,210.00 - $106,230.00

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
