High School Computer Science Teacher 2026-2027 Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. We coach and invest in teachers so students can achieve at the highest levels and graduate from college. What is the Role?

As a Computer Science teacher at Brooke High School, you will join a growing team of three teachers working to make CS education available to every student. You will lead your classroom, build strong relationships, and push students to be their best academically and personally. You will participate in regular data meetings, undergo approximately 20 administrative observations, and complete nearly 300 hours of professional development over the school year.

Hours

7:45 am – 4:00 pm. You will teach multiple sections daily and serve as an advisor; advisors mentor students, communicate with families, and share information about colleges and character education. You may also lead an after-school club or coach a sport for an additional stipend.

Compensation

Salary range $72,000–$128,000 (commensurate with experience). Computer Science teachers also earn an additional $16,500 stipend for teaching a high‑need subject area.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (any field) with content knowledge in programming or computer science. Experience with FIRST Robotics and/or makerspace equipment is a plus.

After at least 2 years as a lead teacher, you value a joyful classroom culture where students are held to high behavioral and academic expectations.
