Firmware HIL Engineer Join Applied Intuition’s Vehicle OS team in Mountain View, CA as a Firmware HIL Engineer. You will test, validate, and improve the reliability of the firmware that powers autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

Design advanced automated test suites for HIL/PIL/SIL environments.

Architect integration of automated test suites into development processes.

Create reporting mechanisms for automated testing of firmware and hardware.

Work alongside development and integration teams to create automated regression tests.

Assist in creating test plans and frameworks.

Explore and innovate methods of testing the robustness and quality of zonal firmware.

Understand and deconstruct complicated software systems and devise strategies to test these systems.

Execute test plans designed to expose weaknesses or faults in components.

Report coverage of automated tests and metrics that code is evaluated against.

Collaborate with developers to optimize acceleration of component validation with metric‑driven data.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with exceptional ability.

Proficiency in Python, C, and C++.

2+ years of relevant experience in embedded design/validation.

Expertise testing devices and debugging hardware (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM).

Desire to improve code robustness and design testing infrastructure.

Nice to Have

Experience in electronic and system schematic design & capture (Altium Designer).

Experience with Docker and Linux.

Experience designing or interfacing with test setups.

Knowledge of source control (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins).

Knowledge of EVs and testing hardware.
