Position summary:
Responsible for performing the engineering design for tasks or sub‑tasks to support aviation clients by using advanced knowledge of general civil engineering principles. Projects include airfield design, runway and taxiway development, and related civil works.

Compensation:
$93,600.00 – $120,640.00 annually, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. The actual salary may vary from the estimate based on experience.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Contract document development (plans, specifications, and quantities/estimates)
Project meeting coordination (organize and run meetings)
Maintain current department organizational and quality control standards and update as and where necessary
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
Perform design computations
Coordinate with and/or manage project sub‑consultants and in‑house support disciplines
Nonessential Functions And Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation
Detailed construction cost estimating
Technical specification writing
Proficient in MS Office software
Proficient in discipline‑specific design software
Written and communication skills
Presentation skills
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET‑accredited engineering program
Professional Engineer license
4–8 years’ experience in civil engineering design or a related field
Preferred Experience
Road/highway design experience preferred
Experience working with other related disciplines (structures, drainage, geotech)
Experience supporting/coordinating utility relocation designs
Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. The work is generally sedentary, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
