This role focuses on managing and growing a profitable book of excess casualty business through strong underwriting, relationship management, and collaboration. Success requires a team‑oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role will be hybrid and can sit in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Atlanta, GA, or Scottsdale, AZ. Key Responsibilities
Underwrite new and renewal excess casualty accounts in line with company guidelines and authority. Evaluate risk, pricing, and coverage to ensure profitability and portfolio growth. Maintain high underwriting standards and clear communication with partners. Build a diverse, renewal‑focused book of business. Technical Excellence
Apply precise, data‑driven underwriting decisions aligned with proprietary rate plans and guidelines. Distribution & Service
Ensure underwriting rigor while maintaining efficiency and ease of doing business for our partners. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in E&S casualty underwriting or related insurance roles. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of energy and accountability. Seniority Level
