Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding enterprise assets through timely analysis of customer accounts receivable transactions. You will develop and execute collections strategies to resolve unpaid and past‑due accounts while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute basic collections strategies to resolve slow payments and unauthorized deductions.
Identify and andeschedule continued customer issues and high‑risk accounts.
Establish and maintain professional, effective, and independent relationships with customers to ensure timely payments.
Document all communications and support key customer decisions professionally.
Establish cross‑functional relationships to provide world‑class customer service and problem resolution.
Collaborate effectively with the Sales organization to understand customer payment issues and credit holds.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years’ combined experience in Accounting, Customer Service, Credit & Collections.
Proficient Excel skills, including vlookups, filtering, sorting, and color coding.
Ability to work within multiple ERP systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Strong communication skills for a B2B collections environment.
Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
Work Environment The work environment is located in a large, modern building with a collections team of 10‑11 employees divided into two teams with different team leads. The role requires a flexible schedule, with the expectation to work three days in the office. Remote work is available as needed for personal circumstances, such as illness or appointments. Training will be conducted both remotely and onsite. The team operates in a B2B collections environment, necessitating clear communication and adaptability to a fast‑paced setting.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bayport, MN.
Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $28.84 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
