$70,000-$78,000 commensurate with candidate experience

Summary The Director of Child & Family Support Services is a member of the program leadership team and has primary responsibility for the day-to-day management and operations of CPA’s supportive housing, case management, and clinical programs. The Director will provide administrative and clinical supervision to program staff and partners to ensure services are delivered according to local, state, and federal laws, in compliance with contractual requirements, and in fidelity to CPAs model. The Director is responsible for ensuring the quality of care for all supportive housing and case managed clients. To that end, while leading the Child & Family Support Services Team this role also works across program departments to evaluate and enhance current clinical services, to expand and promote services, and to catalyze opportunities in the behavioral health space to position Children’s Place Association as a thought partner and leader in community centric behavioral health equity.

The Director takes the lead in developing the agency’s clinical policies to ensure consistency in service quality and sets and pursues high standards for excellence to meet or exceed COA accreditation and licensing requirements.

As a key leadership team member, this role will be responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive support services that promote stability, well-being, and long-term success for vulnerable families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities CFSS Program Design, Accountability, Management, and Training

Leads the Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) team that consists of the Senior Case Manager and Case Management Intern.

Ensures adequate progress toward annual program targets as defined by the annual work plan, strategic plan, and contractual agreements.

Leads the effort to build and maintain a robust wraparound transitional housing service model.

Partners with the Senior Case Manager to evaluate and strengthen the comprehensive case management functions, with the ambition to grow this component.

Conceptualizes new programs and services as appropriate to address emerging client needs, maximize opportunities and adapt to changing conditions.

Acts as Co-Chair of the Housing/Intake Committee. Deploys best practices to assess and recommend clients for placement.

Evaluates individual and team performance and uses information to make necessary improvements to maximize the quality of care and staff productivity.

Partners with staff to create and achieve comprehensive departmental goals, included but not limited to: program, fiscal, professional development, and training.

Reviews and/or completes reports for internal and external stakeholders and funders.

Develops and implements program policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure efficiency, consistency, and alignment with best practices.

Establishes data collection and evaluation processes to track program effectiveness and identify areas for growth or improvement.

Oversees program audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and funding requirements.

Implements continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

Supervises program staff, providing ongoing mentorship, training, and performance feedback to ensure professional growth and adherence to best practices.

Leads the development of staff training curricula to enhance case management, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based intervention strategies.

Creates strategic partnerships with external organizations to expand program reach, share resources, and develop collaborative service models.

Oversees crisis response and risk management efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.

Direct Service

Maintains a caseload of individual and small group therapy clients, as needed.

Collaborates with program departments to create and execute an annual series of targeted Psychosocial/Educational workshops to be provided to the client and community.

Cross-Departmental Gatekeeping & Engagement

Cultivates social work and clinical internship pathways. Leads the development and oversight of learning agreements with partner institutions.

Offers thought leadership for programs regarding existing, planned, and needed clinical services. Has keen awareness of gaps in service and develops plans to address such gaps.

Monitors the agency-wide database on behalf of clinical programs and services to ensure accuracy and compliance; leads the case review process.

Partners with the Operations department to achieve and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Develops and monitors the agency’s CFSS budget.

Leads the agency’s pursuit of a trauma informed culture.

Serves as the internal ambassador for mental wellness and partners with human resources to introduce employee wellness initiatives.

Serves as external champion for Children’s Place Association’s supportive housing, case management, and clinical services, representing the organization with partner organizations and various funders.

Implements relevant agency-wide tools in the areas of: client/family intake, client/family assessment, and client/family development.

Collaborates with philanthropic efforts to identify, plan and pursue funding opportunities.

Assessment, Standards & Quality

Leads the agency's effort to maintain clinical accreditation standards.

Develops quantitative and qualitative metrics to frame program impact. Revise logic models and theories of change as necessary.

Acts as Chair of the Clinical Risk Committee.

Education And Experience

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university required.

Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is highly beneficial.

Minimum of eight years of progressive supervisory and management experience in social services/counseling/behavioral health services required, preferably in housing or child welfare.

Must have experience in service to marginalized communities.

Excellent social and interpersonal skills and ability to relate to persons from various backgrounds required.

Must have excellent budgeting skills and a proven ability to understand and analyze financial statements.

Must be highly organized, flexible and able to manage multiple projects and employees.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
