JOB TITLE: Desktop & A/V Technician (Temp Contract) OPENINGS: 1
LOCATION: San Francisco
DURATION: 6 months +
HOURLY RATE: $50
Must provide 100% on-site support
Minimum Qualifications
3 years experience in Windows PC imaging (please provide a) project scope, b) project cost(s), c) project start and end dates, and d) client name(s) where this experience was gained.
3 years experience in desktop support – installation of laptops, computer equipment, peripherals, software, and etc (please highlight this experience on your resume)
1 year of experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). (please highlight this experience on your resume)
Project Summary Over the next six months, the agency will undertake a significant relocation process involving the closure of two buildings and the consolidation into multiple new locations. This transition will affect over 900 staff members and require substantial IT logistical and infrastructure changes. IT personnel will be responsible for setting up over 900 workstations for incoming staff.
Secure Printing Configuration
Objective: Ensure all copiers and printers are set up for secure printing.
Actions: Implement secure print features, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support.
Wireless Access Design and Testing
Objective: Optimize wireless network performance and coverage.
Actions: Design robust architecture, perform rigorous testing, and strategically place WAPs.
Monitor and Docking Station Management
Objective: Ensure safe relocation and setup of monitors and docking stations.
Actions: Relocate 2,000 monitors and 1,000 docking stations, secure them, and implement cable management.
Endpoint Management Systems Update
Objective: Reflect changes in location and network configurations in IT systems.
Actions: Update SCCM, Active Directory, and other systems; verify functionality; document changes.
Conference Room Equipment Installation
Objective: Set up and configure all conference room technologies.
Actions: Install TV screens, control systems, sound and video conferencing equipment; provide training and support.
Decommissioning and Inventory Management
Objective: Efficiently manage the decommissioning and relocation of IT hardware.
Actions: Decommission hardware, conduct inventory, coordinate relocation, develop timeline, coordinate teams, provide updates, manage risks.
