Davidson is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security Engineering team. This role will focus on Continuous Monitoring and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) for Government‑accredited systems. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will play a vital role in vulnerability and compliance management for mission‑critical systems, working closely with stakeholders to ensure system security and integrity.

Job Responsibilities
Review and adjudicate findings from Tenable/Nessus vulnerability scans
Assess system vulnerabilities and verify compliance with relevant STIGs, SRGs, and other security guidelines
Perform Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) work‑off
Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities
Assist with Software Assurance evaluations
Provide cybersecurity engineering expertise during system development
Deploy and maintain security patches in alignment with vulnerability management and compliance policies
Administer and secure systems operating on Linux OS platforms
Job Requirements
Advanced degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience
Experience with Tenable Security Center and Nessus for vulnerability assessments
Proven experience maintaining and deploying security patches
Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems and command‑line tools
Working knowledge of NIST RMF, including SP 800‑37, 800‑53, and 800‑171
DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II compliant certification
U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Competencies
Strong understanding of DoD RMF certification & accreditation processes
Experience using STIG Viewer and performing manual security checks
IAT Level III certification (e.g., CISSP or equivalent)
Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently
Clearance Requirements
Active and transferable Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
Salary: $108,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
