Primary Purpose Perform detailed analysis and prepare comprehensive reports to support business operations. Conduct complex modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development and other financial and operational analysis. Monitor and coordinate activities to manage operational performance, research and provide statistical financial and operational information, track KPI scorecards and develop short‑term and long‑range business planning. Provide broad analytical and operational support to the business unit. May work extended hours during emergencies.
Primary Duties
Develop and conduct short‑term and long‑range business planning.
Conduct complex modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development and other financial and operational analysis.
Provide statistical information to ensure effective utilization of personnel, equipment and materials.
Monitor and coordinate activities to manage operational performance and recommend improvements.
Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation’s business scorecard or KPIs.
Perform analysis of cost elements to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Prepare and analyze comprehensive and detailed reports.
Develop, organize and present detailed performance reports for internal and external use.
Develop, implement, evaluate or lead projects or initiatives such as process improvement.
Provide broad analytical and operational support to the business unit.
Job Scope
Individual contributor position that works independently with general direction and mentors less experienced colleagues.
Regular interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, executives, directors and managers across the organization.
May require working extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering and 4–7 years of related business experience, or 6–9 years of relevant business experience in lieu of a degree.
Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices in the functional area supported.
Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) and specialized business technologies and applications to retrieve and analyze data.
Ability to provide in‑depth analysis and apply managerial accounting concepts, customer intelligence gathering, forecasting, staff planning, scheduling, analytical and statistical problem solving and financial and budget analysis.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills for project evaluation and financial decision analysis; proficient in business case development and effective presentation to leadership.
Customer driven with strong oral and written communication skills, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of performance analysis practices, procedures and principles; ability to analyze organizational data and recommend alternative courses of action and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or relevant advanced degree.
Experience with Power BI.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams.
