Who We Are CardWorks, Inc. is a diversified consumer finance service provider and parent company of CardWorks Servicing, LLC, Merrick Bank and Carson Smithfield, LLC.

CardWorks Servicing, LLC provides end‑to‑end operational servicing functions for credit cards, secured cards, and installment loans. We service consumer and small‑business loans across the credit spectrum and offer backup servicing and due diligence services to capital providers and trustees.

Merrick Bank is an FDIC‑insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank. Merrick operates three main business lines: credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services.

Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post‑charge‑off debt recovery services, including digital self‑service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management.

Position Summary This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive profitable new account growth by designing and optimizing credit and product strategy. We are seeking an individual with rigorous quantitative skills who can own strategic decisions through creation, socialization, and implementation.

Essential Functions

Design integrated strategies to drive new account originations: define credit policy and product choices customized to market segments

Collaborate across departments to balance analytically driven strategies with business considerations, including competitive landscape and company objectives

Partner with Data Science Modeling team to ensure appropriate application of custom risk models into credit and product strategy

Design, implement and read experiments to inform growth into new market segments

Understand historical testing and design/launch new tests to continually inform and update optimal product choices

Work hands‑on with large/complex datasets including internal and bureau data

Desire and willingness to own hands on, complex implementation work, including ensuring that intent meets execution

Follow established procedures to socialize, obtain approvals, implement and monitor strategies

Compliance With Laws & Regulations

Responsible for complying with all of the Bank’s internal control policies and procedures.

Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject.

Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts.

Education And Experience

Minimum 3 years of rigorous analytical experience in consumer lending (5 or more years preferred)

Hands‑on experience with SQL is required

Previous experience with Python is preferred (candidate must be willing to learn Python for data analysis as part of new hire onboarding)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

The salary range for this position, if located in NY Metro/NY State is $118,521 - $131,690 annually. However, please note that the salary range will vary for other geographic areas.
