Base pay range: $93,000.00/yr - $158,000.00/yr The Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager will provide leadership and direction to the plant Maintenance and Project Management departments. Primary responsibilities include leading the Maintenance team in planning, repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment within the facility and on-site CapEx Project Management. Execute plant-specific vision and mission to ensure operations are safe, controlled, and aligned with corporate goals, with a focus on continuous improvement. Provide leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining Progressive Maintenance (PM) programs, including Breakdown Analysis (BDA) and Defect Handling (DH), and ensure the programs' effectiveness. Monitor DH tracker for timely corrective actions and BDAs, ensure health checks are in place, report metrics to site Leadership Steering Team. Lead projects involving redesign and installation of new processing and packaging assets, on time, within scope, and on budget. Assess current Progressive Maintenance Systems and create an improvement plan with clear objectives, dates, ownership, and KPI trends. Train and coach on Lean Continuous Improvement related to Progressive Maintenance, Defect Handling, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, Breakdown Analysis, and Autonomous Maintenance. Analyze equipment and downtime data, identify opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams to determine Root Cause and Corrective Action to improve reliability. Define skill requirements for critical equipment, assess gaps, and develop prioritized training plans with cross-functional support. Manage buildings and grounds to adhere to GMP and maintain professional appearance. Direct the Maintenance and Engineering Team to meet plant objectives in environmental, safety, quality, cost, and customer service. Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Collaborate with Finance to create and manage the maintenance and capital budget; monitor costs and pursue cost-saving initiatives including capital projects. Maintain appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts. Participate in Steering Team to drive employee engagement, training, and development for safety, quality, manufacturing, and productivity goals. Plan and direct work within the department; manage performance, recognition/discipline, feedback, and problem solving for direct reports. Promote a safe and positive work environment; enforce standards for food safety and food quality (SQF/BRC) and regulations from OSHA, FDA, and EPA; ensure training and compliance. Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing or Operations Management or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years’ maintenance experience as a manager or supervisor in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred). Demonstrated Project Management experience. Experience in lean, system-driven manufacturing with ability to assess maintenance processes, plan improvements, train, coach, monitor with KPIs, and sustain performance. Experience with CMMS (SAP preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, PLCs, utilities, and boilers. Ability to interpret technical information and regulatory guidelines; AutoCAD knowledge preferred. Demonstrated leadership competencies (Drive for Results, Managing Vision and Purpose, Decision Quality, Building Effective Teams, Action Oriented, Managerial Courage, Strategic Agility, Priority Setting). Working knowledge of food safety and quality standards; FDA and SQF/BRC experience a plus.
