THE ROLE The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting Eagle Point’s people operations and company culture. This position will provide comprehensive HR support including employee relations, investigations, performance management, recruiting, benefits administration, and basic payroll processing. Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the ideal candidate will assist managers and team members with HR insight and execution, ensuring compliance, fairness, and alignment with Eagle Point and HT Building Products’ values. Although this position may have the ability to work remotely on occasion with prior approval, it is expected that the generalist will primarily work on site, in two work locations in northwest Houston.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and assist in employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies and best practices.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Works to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Instrumental in launching, leading, and coordinating engagement events and initiatives in multiple locations with internal committees.
Support continuous improvement of HR processes and culture initiatives.
Administer payroll processes, ensuring accurate timekeeping, deductions, and benefits administration.
Will provide backup support to a small HR team for functions including recruiting, benefits administration, engagement initiatives, and other projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES
Conduct timely and fair investigations into workplace concerns or policy violations.
Facilitate dispute resolution and performance improvement plans.
Review and process basic biweekly payroll and verify employee data accuracy.
Audit, maintain, and optimize the use of the HRIS
Prepare HR reports, metrics, and audits as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all employee matters.
Provide day-to-day HR support to a hybrid workforce.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally in a growing or multi-location company.
Strong working knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.).
Proven experience conducting employee investigations and facilitating dispute resolution.
Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar).
Excellent communication, empathy, and conflict management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related additional commensurate experience required.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
