Job Summary The Accounting Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting the accounting department with various tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting. Tasks may include invoice processing, resolving vendor accounts, system data processing, and general bookkeeping activities.

Job Location This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Irving, TX.

Job Responsibilities

Reconciles bank statements and report discrepancy problems

Accurately prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records for review

Reconciles short payments and recommends credit memos to sales group

Work with dispatchers, drivers, and operations personnel to handle customer orders / complaints

Audit freight bills against freight manifests

Perform shipment confirmation, involves keying amounts delivered to customers and charging freight when applicable

Make business to business collection calls based on aging reports

Document notes on customer accounts based on conversations / emails

Work unapplied report daily (weekly progress report showing movement on these will go to mgmt in an effort clear this account)

Process customers payment through online payment portal.

Process customer lien waivers (Fill out waivers for signature and notary stamp)

Account reconciliation (reconcile outstanding issues such as short payments, aged credits / invoices, unapplied payments, etc.)

Reconcile Cash Desks for multiple locations

Order releases

Process customer refund as needed

Asst. sales team with AR requests

Account placement / collections and legal

Setup new customer accounts using workflow business tool

Job Requirements

Associates Degree / Bachelors Degree preferredor equivalent in years ofrelated work experience or training

Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and H5

Skilled and accurate in data entry and data research with 10-key operation experience

Knowledge required on construction products, computers, inventory, and telephones

Previous accounting experience
