About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Nashville, TN. This role supports the Controller and contributes to a high-performing accounting function that delivers timely, accurate, and insightful financial information to stakeholders across NRT and its parent company, Bulk Handling Systems (BHS). The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing traditional accounting responsibilities with cross-functional initiatives and process improvements. This is an onsite position reporting to the NRT headquarters Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare month-end journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
Support billing, inventory, and accounts payable processes as needed
Assist in generating subsidiary financial statements
Maintain and reconcile intercompany account balances
Contribute to budgeting and financial planning processes
Analyze financial data and prepare reports on assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial metrics
Forecast revenue and expenses based on trends and financial commitments
Support year-end, bank, and regulatory audits
Maintain fixed asset accounting records
Develop and maintain financial reports to meet management needs
Provide backup support for other accounting functions (e.g., cost reports, multi-state sales tax filings, inventory control, ERP maintenance)
Assist with general office administration, including answering phones and greeting visitors
Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required); CMA certification (preferred)
Minimum 3 years of full‑cycle accounting experience in manufacturing, construction, or job‑costing environments
Proficiency with ERP systems and financial statement preparation
Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial analysis
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self‑starter with a hands‑on approach and high personal initiative
Team‑oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
Must be located near BNA and able to work 100% on‑site
