Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for construction and a track record of strategic sales success? We’re seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to drive growth, build market presence, and lead business development efforts within the multi‑family, senior living, student housing and housing sectors.

This role is ideal for a technically minded, motivated sales professional with deep roots in the A/E/C industry, looking to make a measurable impact within a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.

A Day in the Life

Identify and develop relationships with key industry professionals to uncover and pursue new business opportunities

Create and expand the company's footprint while establishing strong top‑of‑mind brand awareness

Establish profitable, long‑term relationships with decision‑makers and stakeholders across target industries

Research and analyze economic trends and market data to inform outreach strategy and sales planning

Track sales pipeline and relationship development within a CRM platform

Manage and coordinate the full sales/proposal process with internal teams, including marketing, preconstruction, project management, and senior leadership

Attend trade shows, association meetings, and industry events to stay informed, monitor competition, and build valuable connections

Provide regular progress updates and sales metrics to leadership

Travel to meet with prospects and explore new market opportunities (up to 40%)

Core Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with company goals

Qualify and prioritize opportunities across niche construction sectors

Work closely with marketing and business partnerships teams to drive lead generation and pursue targeted growth

Build strong relationships across multiple levels of prospective client organizations

Respond to client needs, resolve issues, and deliver customized sales strategies and solutions

What You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree required

Strong business acumen and experience within the A/E/C industry

Proven success in technical sales within the construction industry

A well‑rounded understanding of design/build construction processes

CRM experience and strong pipeline management skills

Relationships in multi‑family, senior living, student housing or hospitality sectors are a strong bonus

Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
