We are looking for a

non-technical

Senior Program Manager who is energized by driving results through clear, impactful communications and high‑quality process materials.

Overview As part of the Nordstrom Merchandising Group (NMG) Process, Program & Deployment team, you will work cross‑functionally to support implementation of business process improvements and deploy new and improved tools and systems that support Nordstrom’s growth ambition. We’re transforming our end‑to‑end merchandising approach to drive improved results, deliver a better customer experience, and connect our merchandising processes into one ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Craft tactical communications tailored to business and technical teams.

Transform stakeholder feedback into clear, actionable materials that drive understanding and alignment.

Design leader enablement resources such as conversation guides, FAQs, and response frameworks to navigate difficult questions.

Stay connected with frontline teams through regular check‑ins, gather real‑world insights and proactively surface program risks before they impact business outcomes.

Measure communication impact using engagement metrics and adoption trends to make agile, evidence‑based adjustments.

Leverage merchant expertise while championing transformation, communicating with transparency and empathy to build trust and momentum.

Inspire inclusive leadership, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

5+ years in change management communications, internal communications or organizational transformation roles.

2+ years in retail, merchandising or a similar operational environment (understands business context and merchant mindset).

Demonstrated experience managing communications for technology implementations or process transformations.

Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast‑paced and results‑driven environment.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives, present to diverse audiences and influence at all organizational levels.

Location This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to work onsite four (4) days per week and be located within a commutable distance of the Nordstrom corporate offices in Seattle, WA.

Compensation $103,500.00 - $175,000.00 annual. This position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, holidays, and more.
