Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages.
Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Conditions Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of six (6) months courier experience preferred; ability to demonstrate area knowledge.
At least 21 years of age.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred.
Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.
Preferred Qualifications
Clean driving history.
Pay $27.05 – $38.16 per hour.
