IT Administrator – Southeast Houston (2 Locations)

Full-Time, Mid-Level
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Compensation:
$25 – $30 per hour, based on experience
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Administrator to provide hands‑on technical support for two locations in Southeast Houston. This mid‑level role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in managing and maintaining Windows‑based environments and providing exceptional end‑user support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for all IT systems across two Southeast Houston locations.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows PCs, servers, and related hardware/software.
Manage Microsoft Azure environments, including user accounts, permissions, and cloud services.
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, routers, and network switches to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Administer VMware virtual environments, including backups and system snapshots.
Oversee data backup and recovery processes to protect company information.
Maintain and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
Implement and monitor IT security measures, including antivirus, patching, and access controls.
Document configurations, procedures, and system changes.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support IT projects and resolve escalated issues.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
Experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
Familiarity with VMware virtualization.
Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs).
Hands‑on experience with firewalls, routers, and switches.
Understanding of data backup systems and best practices for disaster recovery.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Preferred (Not Required)
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
Experience supporting multi‑site environments.
Familiarity with Office 365 administration.
