Department Overview The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a leading public university with a world‑class medical center. The Children’s Hospital is a quaternary care facility with a 74‑bed Neonatal Critical Care Center that admits over 1,100 patients annually. The division has 20 faculty and 8 fellows and maintains an accredited neonatal‑perinatal fellowship.
Position Summary The successful candidate will provide clinical neonatology care, engage in teaching and mentorship of residents and fellows, and participate in the division’s research activities. The role may involve leadership in quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine with clinical neonatal training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Demonstrated commitment to patient care, research, and medical education. Experience with quality improvement is expected.
