Minimum Qualifications

JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.

Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in advisory and regulatory regarding youth and privacy laws, or media and technology-related areas.

Ability to work on a broad variety of matters from emerging to the routine/standard matters.

Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.

Excellent business judgement, work ethic and organization skills.

Excellent Entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking, with exceptional people‑management skills.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $210,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Provide legal advice to teams from Engineering, Product Management, Advertising Sales, Marketing and Communications from the initial stages of product development to launch.

Ensure compliance with international laws and regulations in various areas, including youth, privacy, content moderation, consumer protection, generative AI, and more.

Provide legal support to the YouTube public policy teams regarding existing and emerging laws, regulations, and compliance obligations in the United States (U.S) and internationally.

Collaborate with legal teams across Alphabet on policy development in relevant areas.

Develop privacy regulations worldwide and collaborate with other product counsel to advise cross‑functional teams throughout the company on the impact of these laws on YouTube’s business.
