We are seeking a
Director or VP of IT/Technology
to lead the IT function for a growing organization. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the technology vision, managing IT operations, and building a team and processes to support scale and growth.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology leader with experience in infrastructure, cybersecurity, data architecture, and vendor management, who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to contribute technically.
Key Responsibilities
Own the technology strategy and roadmap across the organization.
Lead a small internal IT team while remaining hands-on with ~50–60% of technical work.
Assess current systems and implement improvements for scalability, security, and efficiency.
Manage vendor relationships, select and negotiate with technology partners, and reduce reliance on external service providers.
Ensure business continuity, cybersecurity, and network reliability.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT strategy with organizational goals.
Support multi-location operations with technology deployment, infrastructure, and systems integration.
Mentor and grow IT staff, building a high-performing and resilient team.
Required Qualifications
~10+ years of progressive IT and technology experience, with several years in leadership roles.
Strong hands-on technical expertise across data management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems.
Experience managing vendors, ticketing systems, and IT processes.
Exceptional communication skills with executive presence. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automotive, retail, multi-location, or similar industries.
Experience in PE-backed or rapidly scaling organizations.
Familiarity with modern data architectures, business intelligence, and emerging platforms (e.g., Azure, Power BI, or similar).
