About The Team Reporting to this position will be a small but mighty team made up of the CMO School lead, Learning and Development, Strategic PMO and the Rotation/Interns Program.
About The Role The Office of the CMO lead position will act as a force multiplier to maximize efficiency and effectiveness across the MLT and Marketing organization. The role will support the CMO operationally, act as a bridge across the organization, and drive key executive initiatives, external customer engagements, and strategies on behalf of the CMO. The position partners closely with Executive Communications, Finance, Operations and People & Purpose functions.
Key Responsibilities
Translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans and ensure their execution across the Marketing organization.
Monitor and report on key Marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the CMO.
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration between Marketing and other functions (Sales, Product, RevOps, Strategy & Operations, Customer Success) to ensure alignment and efficient execution of company‑wide goals.
Lead cross‑functional Marketing initiatives, working across all teams to drive strategic priorities.
Manage E400 account program ensuring the CMO has a 360‑degree view of accounts (status of relationship, renewal information, CSAT, etc.).
Prepare health‑of‑business reports and talk tracks for the CMO.
Prepare, in collaboration with planning and analytics leaders, QBR and Ops review talk tracks, ensuring relevant business topics and lead preparations for ECOMM discussions.
Coordinate and manage special projects and initiatives as directed by the CMO, from conception to completion.
Operational Excellence
Manage the CMO’s priorities, schedule, and communications, ensuring their time is optimized for high‑impact activities.
Develop talk tracks, key insights and synthesize presentation materials with executive summaries for internal and external meetings, including ECOMM meetings, Board meetings, Ops reviews, QBRs & Customer Advisory presentations.
Assist in driving a strategic approach for budget and resource allocation and partner to drive planning strategy.
Team Enablement and Communications
Lead the CMO Programs team and enable their success in delivering the CMO School, CMO Programs, Project Management, Learning and Development, and the Intern and Rotation programs.
Manage and oversee ELT, including strategy to build executive‑level leadership, driving agenda creation and Slack engagement to build accountability outside of individual leader swim lanes.
Ensure that the optimal organizational structure is in place to meet team imperatives.
In partnership with the CMO EA help prepare and facilitate team meeting agendas, offsites, and internal events, ensuring productive discussions and clear outcomes.
Act as a confidential sounding board for the CMO on sensitive topics and employee matters.
Coordinate relevant teams to craft internal updates, executive presentations, and communications on behalf of the CMO.
Support the CMO in talent management initiatives, including recruitment, skill building, executive onboarding, and development of the Marketing team and executive leaders.
About You Basic Qualifications
15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, HR, management consulting or a Chief of Staff‑like role.
High business acumen and understanding of the Marketing function.
Proven capability to scale global functions and work across executive leadership to influence.
Strong track record of advising and partnering with C‑suite to define and execute enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives.
Ability to orchestrate complex strategic portfolios, managing multiple high‑stakes priorities across Marketing and other functions.
Analytical and critical thinking, synthesizing complex data to anticipate shifts and inform decisive executive action.
Executive‑level presence and strong communication skills, adept at articulating strategies and influencing diverse global organizations.
Proven ability to lead through influence and forge highly effective partnerships across cross‑functional teams.
Other Qualifications
Adept at navigating ambiguity and thriving in fast‑paced environments.
Operates with a high degree of accountability with careful execution, assertiveness, and creative problem‑solving practice.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location (USA.CA.Home Office) are $224,300 USD – $336,400 USD. Additional US locations may range from $202,900 USD – $360,500 USD. The role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan, a role‑specific commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants. Compensation will be based on geography, experience, skills, job duties and business need.
Our Approach to Flexible Work: We combine the best of in‑person and remote. We require spending at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field. Employees have the flexibility to create a schedule that meets business, team and personal needs.
