Associate Athletics Director, Marketing & External Operations

Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking an experienced Associate Athletics Director to lead marketing, external operations, and corporate partnerships for our Center for Intercollegiate Athletics. The successful candidate will promote the RIT athletic brand, develop revenue‑generating strategies, and enhance the fan and athlete experience across all sports programs. Summary

The Associate Athletics Director will join an exceptional staff who strive to create an unrivaled experience that fosters the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth of our student‑athletes and prepares them for success as leaders in the global community. Responsibilities

Manage corporate partnership programs and serve as primary coordinator for all athletic special events, mascot reservations, and game‑day promotions. Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive strategic marketing campaigns for home athletic events to increase revenue, ticket sales, and attendance. Work with internal and external partners to execute digital and traditional advertising campaigns that increase event attendance and overall engagement of all athletic programs. Create comprehensive campus outreach plans focused on students to increase visibility, awareness, and attendance across all RIT athletic events. Recruit, train, supervise, and manage day‑to‑day responsibilities of student employees and interns; assist with season wrap‑ups for various sports. Assist with the management of all Center for Intercollegiate Athletics events and serve as one of the game administrators for all home events. Serve as the sports administrator for 3–4 varsity sport programs, overseeing yearly performance evaluations and ensuring management of sports programs follows departmental, university, and conference guidelines. Represent the athletic department with university arenas staff for hockey team needs and work with administrative staff to make decisions regarding marketing and promotions and special events. Participate on committees and professional development as appropriate. Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 5–7 years of experience in athletic marketing, development/fundraising, or athletic administrator leadership. Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and excellent written and electronic communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to student‑athlete welfare and inclusive, diverse environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web applications. Preferred: Master’s degree. Equal Opportunity
