Overview You will be a machine learning specialist, part of our US Data Engineering chapter.
You will work closely with our data engineers and data scientists to bridge the gap between model development and production deployment.
Your responsibilities will include developing integrations, infrastructure and deployment pipelines for machine learning models and ensuring they are deployed appropriately and effectively.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain infrastructure for deploying ML models in real‑time and batch environments.
Build and maintain endpoints to serve ML models.
Collaborate with cross‑discipline engineers to integrate ML services into user‑facing applications.
Work with platform engineers to align with infrastructure best practices and ensure scalable deployments.
Review pull requests and contribute to code quality across teams.
Monitor and maintain cloud‑based ML services, ensuring reliability and performance.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.
Write unit tests and follow software engineering principles to keep code maintainable.
Contribute to the development and improvement of our model registry, including tracking and implementation of model discontinuation upgrades and model monitoring.
Essential Skills
Solid experience as a Python developer, ideally in a machine learning engineering context.
Hands‑on experience with integrated cloud data science platforms, particularly Databricks or GCP.
Good understanding of core data science principles and the challenges of migrating research code into production code.
Strong understanding of software engineering best practice.
Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD tools and Git‑based development workflows.
Understanding of API operations, monitoring and logging.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently on technical tasks.
Experience collaborating with technical and non‑technical team members in agile Scrum ceremonies.
Desirable Skills Beyond the required skills, we welcome diverse talents.
Experience with real‑time data platforms, an insurance background, or other complementary technologies is valued.

ML models will be deployed within Databricks using tools such as MLflow.
Exploration of other cloud providers (e.g., GCP) to adopt advanced tools.

Azure Pipelines for code deployment and Terraform/Docker for infrastructure.
Flexibility to help build out new technology stack components.
