Job Description Play a pivotal role in setting the roadmap, strategies, and overseeing the public cloud resources, provisioning, and optimization. Possess knowledge of the technical aspects of the platform and provide operational leadership to the engineering and product team. Implement robust processes and operations dashboard to monitor the platform performance, user feedback and adherence to service level agreements (SLA), resiliency and key operational metrics in real‑time. Develop strong partnership with controls, technology risk management, architecture and compliance to understand the firm’s requirements and influence/contribute to the maturity of the firm’s capabilities. Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors. Develop secure and high‑quality production code, review and debug code written by others. Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. Serve as subject matter expert in cloud technology. Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle. Influence peers and project decision‑makers to consider the use and application of leading‑edge technologies.
Qualifications Minimum education and experience required:
Master’s degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field plus 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in the same fields plus 5 years of experience.
Skills Required:
Detailed analysis of new features in the AWS public cloud and impact assessment on containers, storage, security and streaming services.
Design and develop infrastructure components using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and Environment as Code solutions.
Design solutions to protect infrastructure, user access, and maintenance access in the public cloud with AWS IAM, Secrets Management, and Certificate Management.
Build a secure low‑cost storage solution using AWS S3, EBS, and RDS.
Utilize AWS container technology EKS with multi‑availability zones to deploy services with auto‑scaling.
Design load balancing with ELB/ALB for high availability and burst handling.
Build and enable streaming services with AWS MSK, automated provisioning, managing, and scaling policies.
Implement multi‑region disaster recovery solutions leveraging AWS native services.
Use Istio Service Mesh to deploy applications in complex blue/green architecture.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Full‑time.
