Be available to support meetings at DLA Columbus, OH, and Fort Belvoir, VA.

Overview Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems, hardware/software/related infrastructure with an emphasis on cloud computing technologies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support, guidance, and hands‑on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operation.

Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Ensure cloud hosting environments, hosted resources, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.

Document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans, and results.

Depict complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences; communicate project objectives, scope, and status to project teams.

Required Qualifications (Must‑Haves)

Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.

Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

One of the following Google Cloud Platform:

Google Associate Cloud Engineer

Google Professional Cloud Architect

Plus, one of the following:

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

AWS Certified Security – Specialty

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Operations

Red Hat Certified Engineer

Red Hat Certified System Administrator

Required Experience: Performing the Following tasks/Responsibilities

Three (3) years of hands‑on experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) IT hosting solutions.

Vast knowledge and experience with commercial cloud provider hosting solutions (i.e., Google, Microsoft Azure, AWS, OCI) and associated relevant industry certifications.

Experienced with various cloud deployment solutions and offerings (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

Strong proficiency in the deployment, security, and administration of CCP solutions, Windows, and RHEL operating systems.

Experience with Oracle, SQL, and other enterprise database management systems.

Strong understanding of network architecture, security, and routing, including virtual private clouds (VPC), load balancers, and firewalls.

Proficient in scripting languages and automation tools for supporting CI/CD and automation of cloud, OS, and other routine system administration and configuration management tasks (e.g. HashiCorp Configuration Language, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Google Cloud Deployment Manager)

Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues related to CPU, memory, disk I/O, and networking.

Proficient in implementing and maintaining DoD security compliance, including server hardening, applying DISA STIGs, patching, and auditing.

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket, OpenShift).

Experienced in supporting and providing backup, Disaster Recovery, and high availability and failover solutions in CCP environments.

Experience in cloud capacity planning and FinOps, analyzing requirements, and providing a rightsized solution to meet performance and business requirements.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills: Proficiency in problem‑solving and troubleshooting complex issues, with the ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, communicate to management, and implement effective solutions promptly.
