The Position Our bank client is seeking to fill a BSA/AML Compliance Manager role in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will ensure products and customers are fully compliant with state and federal BSA, US Patriot Act, OFAC, and fraud requirements. The BSA/AML Officer will ensure that compliance, operations, and fraud controls meet applicable requirements to manage, monitor, and mitigate Financial Crime risk.
This position offers a salary of up to $80K and an excellent benefits package.
(This is NOT a remote position).
BSA/AML Compliance Manager responsibilities include:
Managing and overseeing the Bank’s BSA/AML Program daily.
Advising the Board of Directors, Executive Management, BSA/AML Committee, and Business Units on emerging BSA compliance issues.
Investigating suspicious transactions.
Providing oversight and strategic guidance on BSA/AML strategies.
Establishing standards for monitoring high-risk customers and accounts.
Developing standards for routine compliance monitoring.
Performing and reporting on annual AML/BSA risk assessments.
Submitting reports for BSA/AML activities to Third-Party Product Contributors (TPPCs).
Responding to regulatory examinations and audits, ensuring deficiencies are addressed.
Implementing AML technology to automate and strengthen controls.
Training and mentoring team members on BSA policies and procedures.

Skills and experience include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Five+ years of experience as a BSA/AML officer.
ACAMS certification preferred or ability to obtain.
Strong knowledge of current BSA/AML and OFAC regulations.
Proficiency in Excel, Visio, and MS Office.
Knowledge of regulatory guidance and methodologies.
