Resident Engineer – Bridge Construction (Transportation)
GPI seeks resident engineers for our Shelton, CT office. Responsibilities include supervising professional or technical staff and managing the day-to-day activities related to construction management and administrative/financial matters for assigned projects.

Responsibilities
Verify that construction is performed per contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
Manage inspection services to achieve on‑time and on‑budget completion.
Review and ensure daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely.
Coordinate construction work with facility operations, maintenance, other contractors, and other stakeholders.
Review contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field.
15+ years of experience in multi‑discipline transportation construction projects for CTDOT with an emphasis on bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction.
A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Movable bridge experience is a plus.
Project experience in excess of $30 million is preferred.
Knowledge in using Microsoft Office, Primavera, Site Manager, SharePoint, and/or other contract management software.
