QA Tester Job at Reliance One, Inc. in Plano

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to validate connected vehicle and infotainment systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test planning, test design, and execution, and will work closely with engineering and platform teams to ensure high-quality software and hardware solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop test plans, test designs, and scripts for validation activities.
• Create and configure test benches, vehicles, and test setups.
• Perform validation of developed products and services, following best practices and leveraging available tools.
• Log defects, perform triage, prepare test reports, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct mobile application testing and triage with native iOS and Android devices.
• Test vehicles, head units (HU), in-car systems, and bench setups.
• Provide technical support to internal customers, including creating documentation and videos for automation solution features.
• Host troubleshooting and training sessions.
• Collect automation system logs for software issues or enhancement opportunities.
• Collect monitoring and analysis tool logs for software issue triage.
• Work with Platform Engineering teams to support and triage defects in lower environments.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members and business partners to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications / What You Bring (Must Haves)

• 5–10 years of experience in QA testing, preferably in connected vehicle or infotainment system validation.
• Extensive experience with log collection for vehicle head units, communication systems, and iOS/Android mobile platforms.
• Experience with dashboarding and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with enterprise QA frameworks such as BDD or TDD.
• Experience in API testing of microservices (REST, gRPC) hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with in-car network protocol testing (including CAN, MOST) is a plus.
