Seasonal Reader – Brown University

The Office of College Admission is hiring seasonal readers for the 2025‑2026 undergraduate application reading season. This part‑time, temporary position assists in the holistic review of first‑year applications for undergraduate education at Brown.

Responsibilities

  • Read and review web‑based application materials for 15–20 hours per week between mid‑December and mid‑March.
  • Comply with strict confidentiality, meet deadlines, and use a reliable internet connection.
  • Maintain high integrity, professionalism, and demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; familiarity with liberal arts education and selective admissions preferred.
  • Experience in higher education, secondary school, or other relevant educational settings welcome.
  • Well‑developed computer skills, strong writing and analytical abilities essential.
  • Current admission professionals, high‑school guidance counselors, independent consultants, parents, guardians, immediate family members of a high‑school senior who plans to apply to Brown, or current employees of Brown are not eligible.
