Position Summary
Ultimate Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities. The position ensures that warehouse processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and safely while meeting organizational goals and customer expectations. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead and develop a team of warehouse staff, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and motivate warehouse staff, ensuring clear communication of daily tasks and alignment with productivity goals, and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by overseeing regular cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO). Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Manage day‑to‑day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, order picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Enforce workplace safety standards, conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, and ensure proper handling of materials and equipment. Promote a culture of safety among all staff.
- Identify inefficiencies in warehouse workflows and implement improvement strategies to optimize operations, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
- Monitor key warehouse metrics (e.g., order accuracy, inventory turnover, shipping performance) and prepare reports to evaluate operations and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners. Manage inventory of consumables, such as packing materials, to avoid disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years in a warehouse or logistics environment with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus) and familiarity with inventory management tools.
- Forklift certification preferred; OSHA certification a plus.
- Leadership and team‑building abilities.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Expertise in warehouse management and inventory control best practices.
- Proficiency using WMS/ERP systems and MS Office tools.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to adapt and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment.
Working Conditions
Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Conditions include hot summers and cold winters. Requires walking extensive periods, reaching overhead, bending or stooping below the waist, repetitive wrist/hand/finger movements, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift required).
