Receptionist

H&R Block is looking for a seasonal Client Service Professional/Receptionist to welcome clients, answer phones, and help match clients with the right tax professional. The role is full‑time and located in the New York City Metropolitan Area.

A Typical Day

You will greet clients in a personalized, friendly manner, ensure their needs are met in person, over the phone, or virtually, and maintain office cleanliness and organization. You will also help clients schedule appointments and match them with the best‑suited tax professional.

It would be even better if you also had

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and/or in multiple locations
• Sales or marketing experience

What you'll bring to the team

• Answer phones and greet clients in a personalized, friendly, and inviting manner
• Match clients with the best‑suited tax professional for their needs
• Schedule client appointments as requested
• Ensure all client needs have been met during service both in person, over the phone, or virtually
• Maintain office cleanliness and organization of resources with team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
• Previous experience in a customer service environment
• Ability to multi‑task
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pay Range

$11.00 – $27.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Successful candidates may participate in incentive compensation plans.
