Miles & Stockbridge, a mid-Atlantic based Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an experienced finance associate to join its transactional finance real estate practice in our Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC office. The candidate would support both our traditional lender finance practice and our public finance practice. Candidates should have 4+ years of experience as either a real estate or commercial finance associate, with at least 1-2 years of experience as a public finance associate. Ideal candidates will have experience (i) representing local, regional and national financial institutions in a variety of lending transactions including real estate secured financing, affordable housing transactions and other commercial loans and (ii) assisting on public finance transactions serving in the capacity of bond counsel, underwriters' counsel, lender's counsel or developer's/borrower's counsel where municipal bonds are issued to support projects for 501(c)(3) organizations, infrastructure or public private partnerships. Attorney responsibilities will include working with partners on complex finance transactions, drafting and negotiating loan documents and other transaction documents, and due diligence review.

A successful candidate will be a high performer who can demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills; have excellent academic credentials; be diligent and detail-oriented; and demonstrate an ability to work independently. JD required. Maryland bar admission required.

Base Compensation:

$205,000 to $225,000/ year
