is seeking an experienced Trial Civil Litigation Paralegal to join its Mass Torts team based in Winston‑Salem, NC. The role provides on‑site trial support, including tracking trial exhibits, coordinating with trial attorneys and court personnel, and conducting extensive legal research. The position requires significant travel outside North Carolina and participation in multiple multi‑week trials throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with drafting and cite‑checking pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents.
Conduct online case research and perform project analysis using client litigation management systems.
E‑file large documents in federal and state courts.
Support the discovery phase, including expert witness research and deposition summarization.
Maintain litigation databases and provide high‑level judgment, decision making and analytical reasoning while focusing on technical tasks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred with 3‑5 years of experience at a mid‑ or large‑sized law firm.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and deadline‑management skills.
Team‑oriented with a client‑service focus.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Knowledge of rules of evidence, trial procedure, IPRO/Summation software, and database skills.
Ability to adapt quickly, work at a rapid pace, collaborate with teams, and work long hours during trials.
