Accounting and Administrative Specialist

Griffin Technology Group is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accounting and Administrative Specialist to join our growing team. This role is central to keeping our operations, financials, and people processes running smoothly across GTG and our affiliated companies. You’ll handle bookkeeping and accounting functions—including payroll, A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and financial reporting—while also supporting HR documentation, benefits coordination, and day-to-day operational needs. This position is a full‑time, on‑site role. Temporary‑to‑hire or contract‑to‑hire options may be considered based on experience and fit. What You’ll Do

Accounting & Finance

Perform daily bookkeeping functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, deposits, and payroll submissions. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy. Prepare and distribute monthly accounting and financial reports. Conduct billing audits to ensure invoicing accuracy and profitability. Support leadership with reporting and analysis of financial trends and data. HR & Administrative Support

Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation. Coordinate benefits administration (insurance, 401k, workers’ comp, etc.). Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and policy compliance. Oversee inventory, shipping, and receiving of hardware, subscriptions, and consumables. Manage vendor records, renewals, and purchasing documentation. Support internal team outings, events, and company initiatives. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Provide administrative and financial support to the President and Directors of Technical Operations and Strategic Growth. Communicate proactively with leadership, vendors, and client partners to ensure smooth business operations. Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement across departments. What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting (A/R, A/P, payroll, reconciliations). Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audits. Proficiency with Sage 50 Accounting preferred; QuickBooks or other small business accounting software a plus. Experience with HR documentation/benefits administration strongly preferred. Experience with Automation and AI Tools, ConnectWise PSA/RMM platforms a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem‑solving mindset. Excellent professional interpersonal skills. Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and communication skills. On‑site position at GTG’s corporate office in Mentor, OH. Monday–Friday, first‑shift schedule with occasional evening/weekend support during closing cycles or company events. Full‑time (Temp‑to‑Hire or Contract‑to‑Hire options may be considered).
