Job Summary
This position is with our client, a law firm, actively recruiting for a full-time Trademark Paralegal based in
Chicago, IL, New York, NY, St. Louis, MO, or Washington, DC . The successful candidate will support IP & T practitioners locally and nationally, reporting to the Practice Group Leader. Required Skills and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required. 4 to 10 years of experience in a trademark department, focusing on trademark prosecution. Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF creation tools. Experience with document management software and timekeeping software such as Elite. Key Responsibilities
USPTO Filings:
Prepare and file applications, responses, renewals, and other trademark documents. Trademark Searches:
Conduct searches using third-party platforms and perform common law searches. Client Correspondence:
Communicate routinely with clients on trademark matters. International Filings:
Manage filings with WIPO and coordinate with foreign counsel on international trademark issues. Compliance and Due Diligence:
Handle customs registrations, due diligence for trademark portfolios, and copyright applications. Enforcement Support:
Assist with TTAB filings and trademark enforcement matters, including oppositions and cease & desist actions. Docket Management:
Monitor attorney dockets and manage deadlines. Additional Information
