Position focus includes fact investigation, legal research, document preparation and production, database management, docketing/case management, and overall client service. Responsibilities
Maintain professional demeanor and attitude. Comply with firm policies. Sustain attention to detail and quality of work. Learn/develop technical proficiency in database use and management; internet/electronic research; and project folder/electronic file maintenance. Independently organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks to Paralegal Assistants or Information Governance and supervise same. Attend and participate in in-house CLEs. Mentor Paralegal Assistants. Anticipate attorney needs. Independently handle all key duties without supervision of another Paralegal or Senior Paralegal. Meet billable hour requirement of 1500 hours per year. Core Requirements

Pacific Northwest asbestos/Toxic Tort litigation experience mandatory. Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a law-related field, or Associate’s degree and paralegal training. Familiarity with e-filing protocols and online docket research in Pacific Northwest state and federal courts. Location in the Pacific Northwest area is preferred but not required for candidates with asbestos litigation experience. Compensation and Benefits
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows: California: $84,000 - $112,000 Colorado: $67,000 - $92,000 Illinois: $72,000 - $98,000 Maryland: $70,000 - $98,000 Massachusetts: $76,000 - $90,000 Minnesota: $89,000 - $100,000 New Jersey (Jersey City): $85,000 - $116,000 New York: $79,000 - $116,000 Washington: $78,000 - $106,000 Washington, DC: $85,000 - $115,000 The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus; bonuses are non-guaranteed and depend on individual and firm performance.
