The Opportunity GLOW Academy is adding to its Front Office Team. We are seeking professionals who are committed to supporting different ways of learning, are motivated and engaged, and have a love of children.
The Front Office Support position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on practice on supporting the mission critical work of exceptional children teachers.
Position Details Position: Front Office Support
Start Date: November 2025 - Immediate Opening
Reports To: Data Manager and Principal
Salary: $15 an hour
Schedule: This is an hourly, part-time position that runs for 11 months, from August through June. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00am to 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
Act as a role model of GLOW Academy’s social curriculum in all interactions with faculty, staff, students, parents, Board of Directors and community members.
Assist the Principal in all forms of parent communication.
Schedule calls and meetings between students' families and Principal.
Be responsible for administrative duties including answering phones, taking/delivering messages, filing and assisting the Data Manager in maintaining student records for enrollment, applications, attendance, and front office access/management.
Manage student sign-in/check out, facilitate dismissal with bus/car riders and manage daily transportation changes.
Attend faculty meetings and other school wide events as appropriate.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Administrative Team.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information.
Be positive, approachable, and professional in interactions with parents, faculty, students, and community members.
Serve as front-line public relations person by presenting and explaining GLOW’s mission, philosophy, admissions policy, and procedures for enrollment to the community.
Answer incoming telephone calls and establish needs of callers in order to refer them to the appropriate staff person for service; distribute messages to staff; review all incoming information and communication and respond appropriately.
Maintain logs of all visitors and provide each with an identification badge for security purposes; maintain logs of students who are checked in/out during the course of the school day.
Prepare first‑of‑year forms for student packets at the beginning of each school year.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Administrative Team.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
Ability to interact with the public in a professional manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel and school matters.
Able to sit for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
Two or more years of clerical and client service experience is preferred.
The selected candidate must provide documented proof of a negative tuberculosis (TB) test result prior to beginning employment. This will be discussed during the onboarding process.
