Fee For Service Social Worker - Consultation Center

Joining together with our neighbors to advocate for justice and equality, we help build community strength. We work with New Yorkers of all ages. We infuse a commitment to civic engagement, equity, and communal action into each of our programs, which include early childhood education, mental health and wellness, benefits assistance and eviction prevention, adult literacy and education, healthy aging, community, and recreation centers, performing and visual arts, and youth development. The Consultation Center is University Settlement’s Article 31 outpatient mental health clinic that has served children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 65-years. Responsibilities: Provide individual and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood.
Provide therapy in person and using TeleHealth
Provide diagnostic evaluations and assessments appropriate for the discipline and in accordance with OMH regulations, University Settlement Clinic Policies, and professional standards.
Carry a caseload of no less than 15 clients.
Maintain clinical records in accordance with OMH standards, complete all necessary documentation required by OMH and University Settlement Clinic Policies.
Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings, as required.
Learn and utilize the electronic record charting system.
Other duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services.
Demonstrated ability to engage new and challenging cases.
Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications: LMSW or LCSW certification required
Two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with time limited treatment approaches
Bilingual skills in English/Mandarin/Cantonese or English/Spanish preferred
Work Schedule:
Part time, Must be available from Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm,Hybrid, 5 hours per week We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive community.
